Background:

Born as N'riko in one of the rare N tribes of the Gridanian Forest, the youngest of the family of two. His older sister at that time being the main supported child during those times and their family not being the most wealthy, they decided to put young N'riko out on the streets to be forgotten. But instead he got saved by a young couple of Seekers of the Sun who decided to adopt him, changing his name away from being part of the tribes and instead being now on his own as Neriko.

Several years later, in his teenage years, working as an adventurer for the Lominsan Guild, he got to meet the Admiral Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn who started to show interest in his skills of subterfuge and charisma, which she used to let him as a mercenary for "The League of Lost Bastards" under the command of Bloefhis Bloefhisyn her father.

Years undercover under the guise of her father until reaching the rank of Lieutenant under him, continously feeding the Admiral information about their activities until Neriko discovered information about her father colluding with the Sahagin which he relayed to her. Which led to Bloefhis Bloefhisyn to get challenged under the pirate code, and killed by the hand of Admiral Merlwyb.

His job not open to the general public, as only a few members of his family knew and not wanting to face the repercussions of the public morality of the place. He decided, together with the Admiral who gave him a pardon for his past activities for her under the now former "League of Lost Bastards" as he decided to sail towards the Othard continent, settling on the small Island of Kugane which he now calls his home.

During his time in Kugane, picking up the sword again to work as a mercenary for the government and assisting the Sekiseigumi in their defense against the pirates of the Ruby Sea and the red shelled kojins, where he met his lover Hatasashi Saruno during one of the raids on the pier connecting Kugane with the Ruby Sea. During their time, connecting with each other in multiple ways, they both decided to let go of the sword in order to build up a teahouse together, wanting to promote the peace and quiet of the situation again instead of war. This time of peace not holding up for long though when the Garlean Empire decided to wage war against Doma and the main continent, prompting the two of them to take up arms again.

During the battle of Ghimlyt, where both of them participated, slaying several Garlean troops under the command of Hien at that time, he finds his lover getting captures by a few garlean troops. Flying over to their location though, he finds his lover being executed by a few soldiers. Her arm cut off already as she looks towards his direction with a smile. Forming a few silent words of peace for him before the trigger got pulled in front of him. Losing himself to rage, the future they had together falling to pieces, he started to massacre all the soldiers that were at that place, giving him the moniker of "Berserker of Ghimlyt" as he returned to the base after they won with the lifeless body of his beloved in his arms.

His life in shambles, the teashouse they owned before together now being given away to her next of kin where he knew that they would treat it well as he decided to drown out his sorrows in bodies and drinks, unable to know what is right and what is wrong until a fateful evening as he finds a girl getting assaulted by a few drunkards in the street of Kugane. His blade which is still hung on his side even after all those years quickly dispatching the assailants as the girl thanked him for his actions before quickly hurrying away. With his gaze turned upwards, he murmurs to himself if this is the life he wanted to life, in sorrows and without will and thinking about his loved one probably being in tears about he himself reducing himself to a sorry state.

In a snap decision, he took up his items, said good bye to the few friends he still had left as he returned to where he came from - Limsa Lominsa. Where he started a new life again as a mercenary under the command of the Scions, wanting to make things right again. He now works as a mercenary and smuggler under the command of Tataru Taru, who works him to the bone and uses his former connections to Kugane and the Lominsan pirates to make sure that trade between the two cities works as good as possible. He is even able to visit the teahouse again every now and then, situated next to the Bokairo Inn in Kugane.

He is currently under the care of the Business Procurement Devision of Tatarus new business. Some others might call it smuggling. In the end his whereabouts are unknown. Albeit there are rumors of him currently working as an adventurer in the guild of Ul'dah, as he has been recently sighted there.
